Mike Pedicin needs no introduction to jazz lovers anywhere. He has played far and wide, in the U.S. and abroad. Over the years, he has played with Maynard Ferguson, Dave Brubeck, Peter Erskine, Stanley Clark, Pat Martino, Frank Sinatra and countless others.
Review by Victor Schermer, AllAboutJazz.com
...Pedicin, tenor sax, is a seasoned veteran
who performed with Dave Brubeck (1982) and several key big bands. He brings
to the group
a rare combination
of precision and passion. Interestingly, he is a sort of multidisciplinary “renaissance
man,” holds a PhD in Psychology, and runs a counseling service especially
for members of the arts.
THE JAZZ HUT
The Jazz Hut is a venture created by Michael Pedicin to establish a venue for the benefit of himself and other original jazz artists to be able to play, and sell their self-produced CD's in a seashore location that is surrounded by water in the Historic Gardiner's Basin area of Atlantic City.
Michael and his friends will be the first musical artists there, and will also be displaying some of the best jazz photos available in the country, by POPSIE, a former artist manager and photographer of incredible vintage photos.
The best part is that Michael will be there to play his saxophone and say hello to all that come to listen!
The Jazz Hut is now open at Gardner's Basin located at 800 New Hampshire Ave, Atlantic City
It is open on weekends during June from 12 noon to 8 PM
Starting in July, it will be open 7 days a week from 12 noon to 8 PM
